Coffee Table- 120.00cm long x 54.00cm wide x 41.00cm high.

Side Tables - 65.00cm long x 34.00cm wide x 51.00cm high. 

Trio of Cantilever Tables are made from Birchwood Ply and American Oak. All three tables have granite recessed into their tops which was supplied by the client. Cork has been used to surround the granite whilst allowing for possible movement of the ply wood. 

After consultation with the client, it was clear that they were  after a contemporary design that would create a talking point in their recently renovated open plan kitchen and lounge. The recessed granite echoes the kitchen, while working with the tones of the ply and cork to create a piece that sits comfortably in its surroundings. 

The cantilever design is an extension of the EACDESIGN sideboard. It's profile has been designed to fit within the proportions of a coffee table and side tables including feet. The feet make the coffee table and side tables look like they are floating from the ground and make them seem lighter than they actually are. The strength comes from existing tension within the ply, as well as two five millimetre thick laser cut mild steel plates which have been housed in the coffee table laminations.
